About the event
Join us on Sunday September 19, 2021 for the Great Pizza Run! We'll meet at the Turtleback Rock Picnic Area at the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ at 10am for a morning of trail running and hiking, followed by a pizza party hosted by the world-famous Pizziola Miriam Weiskind! Miriam will be serving up her squatchtastic pizza for everyone until 2pm. Her pizza is sold-out weeks in advance, so this really is a squatchy occasion to have her dishing out pies trailside!!
We will have our 5K trail loop marked so you can get out there to run or hike as many loops as you'd like. This is a social run/hike, not a race -- so come ready to have an awesome time out there! We will have trail leaders ready to go out with any newbies. Bring your trail friends and plan on adding new members to your squad.
We'll even have a super fun scavenger hunt on the course -- find the "pizza slices" along the trail and score some sweet prizes!
