About the event
Jeffrey Greenburg from NJ Search and Rescue will lead this Wilderness First Aid Course. He is a NOLS certified instructor for the WFA Curriculum and takes it a step further by gearing the class to what we encounter on our northeast trails!
November 29th 6pm-9:30pm, in-person class @ NYNJTC Headquarters
December 1st 6pm-9:30pm, Zoom class
December 4th 10am-6pm, in-person class @ NYNJTC Headquarters
**attendance at all three classes is required
**pre-registration is required
The two in person classes are hands-on, while the Zoom goes over knowledge that does not require much hands-on. The course teaches skills to recognize and treat many common emergencies encountered in the Wilderness, such as patient assessment, trauma, environmental emergencies, wildlife bites/stings, and other medical emergencies.
The cost is $180 (normally $350!)
